Sterilization System

Sterilization refers to any process that eliminates, removes, kills or deactivates all forms of life and other biological agents such as fungi, bacteria, viruses, spore forms, prions, unicellular eukaryotic organisms such as Plasmodium, etc. This can be done through a variety of methods, including physical (e.g. heat, radiation), chemical (e.g. disinfectants, sterilants), or biological (e.g. phages) means.

A sterilization system is a set of equipment, procedures, and protocols designed to achieve sterilization of a particular item or environment. Examples of sterilization systems include autoclaves, which use high pressure and temperature to sterilize medical instruments, and ultraviolet light sterilization, which uses UV-C light to kill microorganisms on surfaces or in air. Sterilization systems are used in many industries, including healthcare, food processing, and laboratory research.
